NSW Health commits to Pasteurised Donor Breastmilk Supply for NSW born babies
Good news for NSW parents and babies. NSW Health has formally announced its commitment to providing pasteurisered donor human milk to hospitalised premature and very low birth weight infants whose mum’s are unable to provide their own milk; babies below 32 weeks gestation and/or below 1500g.
This is in partnership with the Australian Red Cross (utilising Sterifeed Pasteurisers from Nascor to safely treat the donated breastmilk) and there are a number of hospitals throughout NSW already taking PDBM for their babies. Read more at www.health.nsw.gov.au.
