Australian Red Cross Blood Service’s Milk Bank begins supply of pasteurised breastmilk

The Australian Red Cross Blood Service’s Milk Bank begins supply of pasteurised breastmilk to South Australia this month. The neonatal nurseries at Flinders Medical Centre and The Women’s & Children’s Hospital will be the first to receive supplies for their premature and sick babies, from the new Milk Bank.

The Australian Red Cross Service utilises S90 and S180 Pasteurisers for treatment of donated breastmilk, along with Sterifeed Safety Sealed Bottles and Cap Sealer.
